Morrigan Knox McLeod, known affectionately as “Morri,” is a passionate advocate of social and emotional healing. With over 30 years of experience as an advocate, community builder, and catalyst for social change, Morrigan channels her expertise, and personal experience into empowering individuals on their own journey towards self-healing.
Morri guides others on a path of self-discovery and transformation, harnessing the powers of nature, art, and intentional community. Her approach is deeply rooted in connection and authenticity, fostering open conversations and promoting healing through drumming, art, and natural practices.
Currently, Morri is actively involved in several impactful projects. Through "No Judgement," a bucket drumming program initially created to address the Opiate Crisis in Maine, Morrigan facilitates healing conversations around mental health, addiction, recovery, and equality. Additionally, as the host of "Barefoot Wild Woman Underground" on WXNZ-LP 98.1, Morrigan amplifies voices and stories.
Morri's past collaborations and projects reflect her commitment to addressing pressing social issues through creative expression. From "Teens-N-Theater" addressing teen issues to her participation in "Red Sand Project" combatting human trafficking, her work spans a diverse range of topics including LGBTQIA equality, domestic violence, addiction recovery, and more.
Passionate about the transformative power of arts and culture, Morri advocates for using creative expression as a tool for social, economic, and environmental justice. Through Artivism = Art + Activism, Morrigan empowers individuals and communities to effect positive change, promoting healing and social progress through writing, visual arts, performance, and music.
In her ongoing quest to cultivate creativity and promote change, Morri invites people from all walks of life to join her in harnessing the power of creative expression to create a better, more equitable world.
